Abstract

Una vez realizado un estudio descriptivo aristocracia en San Isidoro de Holguín, del siglo XVIII, a partir de sus principales familias, se pudo realizar un acercamiento con mayor profundidad a una de estas a partir del estudio de caso representado en la familia González de la Peña. El lector podrá percatarse de inmediato que por la riqueza económica, expresada en sus pesos de posesión, y sus influencias y activa participación en la vida socio- política de la jurisdicción, en ese período objeto de estudio, constituye uno de los símbolos más elevados de la aristocracia local holguinera
