Avaliações Biofísicas E Bioquímicas Em Plantas De Mogno (Swietenia Macrophylla King) Sob Dois Periodos, Seco E Chuvoso

Abstract

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo estudar o desenvolvimento do mogno (Swietenia macrophylla King), sob arranjo de sistemas agroflorestais (SAFs), através de análises ecofisiológicas no município de Santa Bárbara-PA. As avaliações ecofisiológicas (biofísicas e bioquímicas) nas plantas de mogno foram realizadas às 13:00 h, em dois períodos: chuvoso (maio) e seco (novembro), no ano de 2007. Durante o período seco foi observado menor valor da transpiração (E) e valores mais negativos de potencial hídrico () em comparação ao período chuvoso. O período seco com menores valores de potencial de na folha induziu maiores valores de carboidratos solúveis totais (CST), sacarose, prolina, aminoácidos solúveis totais (AST) e menores teores de amido, proteínas solúveis totais (PST) em comparação ao período chuvoso, ou seja, as plantas de mogno desenvolvem estratégias de defesa ao déficit hídrico para sobrevivência no período seco.
