Abstract

As mudanças climáticas são um dos mais significativos desafios da atualidade. O aquecimento do planeta pela influência humana atingiu magnitudes sem precedentes, fato confirmado pela comunidade científica. As atividades humanas têm emitido cada vez mais gases de efeito estufa na atmosfera e a conseqüência disso será uma série de mudanças do clima global do futuro. Entre essas mudanças encontram-se o aumento de temperaturas médias mundiais, bem como alterações de padrões de chuvas (sua intensidade e localização). Nesse sentido, o aumento na quantidade de gases de efeito estufa na atmosfera altera as condições climáticas presentes, causando uma série de impactos (VUJNOVIC, 2002)
