Abstract

La figura de Félix Varela Morales ha sido objeto de múltiples investigaciones, no obstante con el presente trabajo, se propone un acercamiento a un papel histórico trascendente, a partir de una conceptualización no académica de lo que se entiende por nacionalidad cubana y a grandes saltos como se llega a ella desde la ruptura en la historia que significó la extinción casi total de los primeros aborígenes y de los cuales los españoles borraron prácticamente sus huellas, partiendo de su ejemplo como revolucionario de su tiempo y de los azares a que llevó la defensa de sus ideas y la fuerza de su pensamiento vertical y avanza, a la influencia preponderadamente que ejerció en la formación y desarrollo de la nacionalidad cubana.
