Abstract

Vicente García González es la personalidad más importante de la memoria histórica tunera; considerado como uno de los más grandes estrategas militares de nuestras guerras por la independencia, capaz de mantener a la defensiva al enemigo que operaba en la región, aún en los años más difíciles de la guerra; ocupó altos cargos militares y civiles durante la Guerra de los Diez Años y su trayectoria revolucionaria se vio afectada por algunas decisiones políticas que dañaron sensiblemente el desarrollo de la contienda
