Abstract

La problemática sobre la participación femenina en la educación superior ha estado presente en la agenda de análisis y discusión de eventos, conferencias, reuniones y seminarios de profesionales académicas, además ha sido objeto de estudio de investigaciones que se han realizado tanto en el país como a nivel internacional, con el propósito de poner al descubierto las asimetrías y los conflictos que se generan entre el trabajo doméstico y extradoméstico en la vida cotidiana. El proceso social cubano iniciado en enero de 1959 trajo consigo una serie de transformaciones en todas las esferas de la vida social, que tuvo entre sus propósitos fundamentales la eliminación de las desigualdades sociales y sobre todo la desigualdad de género para buscar el logro de la equidad en el desarrollo social. En este sentido se elaboraron una serie de políticas que beneficiaron a los sectores más vulnerables de la población. El interés científico por determinar los rasgos característicos de la participación de la mujer consolareña en la educación superior ha motivado la realización de la presente investigación
