Abstract

Las vidas cotidianas de los habitantes del casco urbano de la comunidad minera de Moa están condicionadas por la actividad económica que en allí se desarrolla, la región es un emporio de riquezas metalúrgicas, por lo que es un contexto sui generis desde cualquier perspectiva que se mire. Región donde año tras año la violencia social se intensifica, y específicamente la violencia contra la mujer lo que ha derivado una situación problémica a nivel de toda la comunidad de Moa. Nuestra indagación se basa sobre todo en la contextualización. Nos referimos a la idea de regionalidad para referirnos a Moa como una región alejada del eje metropolitano del país.En nuestro ensayo describimos los elementos que singularizan el contexto sociocultural minero - metalúrgico de Moa desde las prácticas de violencia contra las mujeres
