El Libro De Texto En La Segunda República: Una Regulación Entre El Control Y La Libertad

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la situación legal en que se encontró el libro de texto durante la II República española (1931-1936), contextualizándola en el sistema de profundos cambios normativos que se produjeron en esos años en muy diversos ámbitos de la vida social, política, cultural, etc., ejemplo de la democratización de sus estructuras sociales. Partiendo de la situación que dejó la dictadura de M. Primo de Rivera (1923-1930), la política republicana sobre el libro de texto se inserta en una nueva concepción de las responsabilidades culturales y educativas que asumieron los gobiernos, con las inevitables consecuencias que ello tuvo en quienes hasta entonces, como fue el caso de la Iglesia, habían detentado y monopolizado la formación de los jóvenes españoles.
