Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es dar a conocer, aquellos elementos que aún se desconocen acerca de la vida de Federico Capdevila Mignano o Miñano, que con el paso del tiempo se convertido, prácticamente en una historia silenciosa. La investigación realizada se propone enriquecer el acervo cultural respecto a esta figura recogida por La Historia de Cuba que con su actitud digna el 27 de noviembre de 1871, pasó a convertirse para los cubanos en el héroe de tan funesta fecha, encerrando en su accionar una de las actitudes más nobles y justas de que hay memoria en La Historia Patria. La figura de Capdevila va más allá de lo que normalmente se conoce ahora se presentan otros datos y elementos de su vida dejando ver, al militar, al padre de familia, al periodista, al compositor de música, de forma general, se ha tratado de revelar, otras de las facetas de este hombre común.
