Abstract

Una problemática de atención priorizada en el contexto de Cuba es elevar la salud del pueblo de forma preventiva y fomentar una cultura de salud. En tanto se conoce que el carácter cambiante de la sociedad y otros factores, como el estrés, suponen una sobrecarga para el bienestar emocional de los hombres, que pueden desarrollar problemas de salud tales como úlceras, dependencia del alcohol, de las drogas o depresión. Se sabe que la ansiedad, la tensión, la tristeza, la soledad, el insomnio y la fatiga son a menudo síntomas de un estrés mental que se manifiesta de muchas formas, incluyendo los malos tratos a los niños, la violencia familiar, el abuso de fármacos, drogas o alcohol y el suicidio.
