Cultura Material Y Renovación Metodológica De La Historia

Abstract

En la investigación histórica hay que superar la “objetividad” positivista y concebir el trabajo histórico como un proceso cognoscitivo. Toda investigación implica hipótesis y conceptos formulados previamente por el investigador. A lo largo del siglo XX las ciencias históricas han desarrollado métodos de aproximación disciplinar cada vez más sistemáticos. Esto ha conducido a la ampliación de las fuentes históricas: los documentos escritos durante mucho tiempo privilegiados en la investigación histórica, van a ser ahora relativizados y tendrán que compartir el protagonismo con otros testimonios “simbólicos” de la realidad en virtud de las capacidades analíticas e interpretativas de los historiadores.
