El Reino Unido En El Periodo De Entreguerras Y Durante La Segunda Guerra Mundial

Abstract

Para Gran Bretaña el período entre 1918 y 1939 fue un periodo de crisis que afectó todos y cada uno los aspectos de la vida del país: económico, social y político, afectando también aspectos internacionales. La depresión y el desempleo a principio de los años 30, seguidas por el levantamiento de Hitler y la cruel sombra del Fascismo y Nazismo en Europa, con la amenaza de otra guerra, supuso una especie de paisaje desolador que también se vio reflejado en las obras de poetas y novelistas de la época. Los años 30 se conocen como “La Década Roja” debido a que sólo la izquierda parecía ofrecer algunas soluciones. La rebelión franquista contra el gobierno republicano en España, que comenzó en 1936, se consideró la antesala de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
