Abstract

En España, se consume bastante alcohol, forma parte de la sociedad, y es una de las drogas mejor vistas, de hecho, está legalizada, aunque si es verdad que su venta se encuentra regulada por la edad, a través de normativa autonómica. El alcohol etílico o etanol (C2H5OH ) se produce por la fermentación de vegetales por acción de levaduras que transforman el azúcar o el almidón en alcohol y dióxido de carbono. Las formas más comunes de bebidas alcohólicas son el vino y la cerveza, pero también se pueden obtener bebidas alcohólicas de muchos otros vegetales, como la patata o el maíz. Obtenido de una forma natural se producen alcoholes con una graduación que suele oscilar entre los 7 y los 12 grados.
