Abstract

a los mexicanos nos está negada la democracia. A la dictadura de Porfirio Díaz, que gobernó por más de treinta años al país, le seguiría la dictadura del partido político que fundara en 1929 Plutarco Elías Calles. Desde su nacimiento el Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), en sus orígenes Partido Nacional Revolucionario (PNR) y con Lázaro Cárdenas convertido en Partido de la Revolución Mexicana (PRM), se reveló como un partido fraudulento, violento y profundamente antidemocrático. El primer fraude en elecciones presidenciales ocurrió en 1929 en contra del político y escritor oaxaqueño José Vasconcelos, al que le seguirían otros tantos: el de 1940 en contra de Juan Andrew Almazán, el de 1952 implementado en contra del general Miguel Henríquez Guzmán, el de 1958 en contra del candidato del PAN, el de 1988 en contra de Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas y, más recientemente, el fraude electoral perpetrado por Acción Nacional en contra del candidato de la oposición Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
