Abstract

En este artículo se analiza el recorrido migratorio de las mujeres migrantes ecuatorianas, sus percepciones y representaciones construidas por el ambiente social en el que viven. Esto significa implementar las explicaciones económicas (en cuanto factor fundamental que empuja a la migración) con otros tipos de variables subjetivas y que, por ende, ponen en discusión la visión por la que la decisión emigratoria deriva de una decisión colectiva tomada al interior de la familia después de haber analizado los gastos y los beneficios.
