Abstract

Pocos conceptos en las ciencias sociales han tenido el fulgor y la enorme aceptación del el concepto Periferia, y por ende del modelo Centro-Periferia. Pocos materiales conceptuales han sido tan ampliamente tan utilizados, instrumentados o utilizados para justificar, referenciar o explicar determinadas estrategias de intervención y, en definitiva, determinadas opciones de política económica. Podría por tanto, resultar de interés una breve revisión del concepto y de su trayectoria, a veces olvidados bajo el peso enorme de tantas utiizaciones, a veces creativas, tantas veces deformadoras.
