Análisis de la actitud de los escolares hacia la educación física según el género

Abstract

La igualdad de oportunidades y la no discriminación en función del sexo es un tema de gran actualidad hoy en día, por tanto, para hacer efectiva esa igualdad debemos conocer la actitud de los niños y las niñas hacia la Educación Física para poder dar respuesta a las necesidades de cada grupo en función de sus intereses. Por consiguiente con este trabajo se pretende comparar la actitud del alumnado hacia la Educación Física en el segundo tramo de Educación Primaria y Educación Secundaria en función del género del alumnado. Para ello se contó con un total de 780 alumnos de la Región de Murcia con edades comprendidas entre 8 y 17 años, de los cuales el 47,7% eran chicos y el 50,9% eran chicas. Para conocer las actitudes de los estudiantes hacia la Educación Física se utilizó el Cuestionario de Actitudes hacia la Educación Física (Moreto y cols., 1996). Tras analizar los datos se concluyó que los chicos valoran en mayor medida la asignatura que las chicas, señalando estas en mayor proporción que los chicos que la Educación Física es aburrida y no sirve para nada.
