Percepción sobre competencias digitales en alumnos de educación superior

Abstract

El uso, manipulación y creación de información en internet está adquiriendo una gran relevancia. Las competencias digitales implican una serie de destrezas que permiten no solo acceder a información si no analizarla desde una perspectiva crítica para hacer uso de ella y crear contenidos en una variedad de contextos. El articulo muestra los resultados de una breve investigación sobre la percepción de los alumnos sobre sus propias destrezas en el uso de recursos digitales. Se recolectó información mediante cuatro grupos focales, con la participación de alumnos mexicanos del Centro Universitario de los Lagos, de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Se aprecia una coincidencia parcial entre la conceptualización de las competencias digitales y la representación que los alumnos tienen sobre sus prácticas en este ámbito, reconocen sus habilidades para buscar y evaluar información más no se consideran agentes activos en el mundo de la información digital.
