Tratamiento de los temas ambientales en la enseñanza del idioma inglés con fines turísticos

Abstract

La presente investigación se enfoca al tema de la formación ambiental del Licenciado en Turismo a través de la asignatura Idioma Inglés en el cuarto año de esta carrera en la Universidad Central ‘Marta Abreu’ de Las Villas. El proceso investigativo se centra en las potencialidades que presenta la disciplina Idiomas en esta formación y aporta como propuesta, un sistema de actividades comunicativas a través de los textos en inglés que devienen en presentaciones, proyectos y discusiones que permiten a los estudiantes la adquisición de las habilidades profesionales en el uso del idioma como arma de desarrollo profesional del Licenciado en Turismo. En este trabajo se combinan no solo el desarrollo de habilidades de lectura necesarias, a partir del uso de textos relacionados con temas del medio ambiente, sino que fortalece la adquisición de conocimientos alrededor de estos y estimulan en ellos la reflexión, la valoración y modos de actuación responsables y solidarios hacia el medio circundante, así como la revelación de algunas propuestas de parte de los estudiantes que enriquecen el trabajo.
