Abstract

El presente artículo para su desarrollo aborda la gestión universitaria desde una perspectiva conceptual. En tal sentido, se inicia examinando los fundamentos y aportes a su definición desde los autores que incursionaron en los inicios de la administración empresarial, llevando estas acepciones a otros ámbitos del desarrollo social, como lo son las universidades; se llega así a presentar las principales tendencias de la gestión universitaria en la actualidad. haciendo énfasis en la calidad y su gestión en las universidades.
