La educación inclusiva: evolución de los estudiantes con discapacidades en las instituciones de educación superior en el Ecuador

Abstract

La inclusión educativa es un tema de mucha controversia dentro de nuestro país, ya que se ha convertido en un reto para las instituciones de educación superior (IES), según los cambios que han sufrido las leyes de educación en los últimos tiempos han motivado a las IES a consolidar programas e iniciativas orientadas a promover un modelo de Universidad donde cobre especial importancia la atención a la diversidad, y procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje más inclusivos. Este artículo es un ensayo analítico sobre la educación inclusiva en las IES en el Ecuador, también es importante estudiar las leyes y estatutos que protegen los derechos y deberes de los estudiantes universitarios con discapacidades, el objetivo principal es atender las diversas necesidades de los estudiantes a fin de brindarles una inclusión al medio sin distingo de raza, fe o condición social y cultural. La metodología aplicada fue la cualitativa, basada en los principios de la teoría fundamentada. Se concluye en el presente trabajo con una reflexión sobre los desafíos que ofrece la educación inclusiva y de qué manera esta aporta en la educación superior.
