Influencia del estrés en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de 5to semestre de la facultad de odontología de la Universidad Central del Ecuador

Abstract

OBJETIVO: El objetivo del presente trabajo es determinar la influencia que existe entre el estrés y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del quinto semestre de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Central del Ecuador. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: La muestra consistió en 150 estudiantes con edades de entre 20 y 29 años, con media de 23,3 años y desviación estándar de 1,5 años, con concentración en edades de 23 y más años (69.3%). La mayoría de participantes fueron del sexo femenino (77,3%) versus solo el 22,7% del sexo masculino. RESULTADOS: Al analizar los resultados del cuestionario, se determinó que el 100% de los encuestados afirmó haber presentado un cuadro de estrés durante el periodo académico, Se observó una concentración en los niveles de muy bueno (50,7%) y bueno (40,7%), además el 5,3% presentó un rendimiento excelente, el 2,7% un nivel regular y apenas el 0,7% un nivel insuficiente.
