La utilización de las redes sociales por estudiantes universitarios

Abstract

La creación de espacios en las redes sociales, por parte de los estudiantes universitarios, presenta su propia estructura de organización y objetivos de utilización. El presente estudio describe el aprovechamiento que se le da a esta estructura tecnológica aceptada y probada, determinado las tendencias y las condiciones de participación. Se utilizaron encuestas y entrevistas a los estudiantes de la Carrera de Administración de Empresas de la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, donde se evidencia que estos espacios son creados por iniciativa estudiantil y de uso exclusivo de los miembros de cada curso. El tiempo que dedican para actividades académicas es más bien escaso en relación al tiempo que le dedican al consumo diario de las redes sociales. La aplicación de estas herramientas en actividades académicas es principalmente para la difusión de contenidos, la aclaración de dudas entre miembros, la realización de trabajos en grupo y para difundir actividades de integración.
