Abstract

La institucionalización del marxismo al estilo soviético en Cuba ocurrió en los años ´70, como parte de la creciente colaboración con la entonces Unión Soviética. Dicha colaboración era ya un hecho manifiesto en la esfera económica desde el triunfo revolucionario de 1959, cuando la Unión Soviética comenzó a ocupar el lugar abandonado por los Estados Unidos como socio prioritario; sin embargo, la Revolución cubana necesitaba fortalecer su propia base en el terreno ideológico, que, aunque ciertamente ya contaba con una profunda e histórica influencia de las ideas de José Martí, resultaba insuficiente para vindicarse ante el mundo, sobre todo, después de declarar su carácter socialista en 1961.
