Abstract

Uno de los objetivos esenciales de la educación la formación de las nuevas generaciones, a esta se le dedica especial atención desde las primeras edades donde se comienzan a formar cualidades de la personalidad. El artículorefiere los sustentos teóricos y metodológicos que permiten, además de dar un adecuado tratamiento a este contenido, evidenciar la influencia que ejerce la literatura infantil en la formación de cualidades morales en la primera infancia, se ejemplifica con una actividad apoyada en la obra de José Martí escrita para niños, cómo utilizando las potencialidades moralizantes que brindan los cuentos se contribuye al logro de dicho objetivo.
