Análise das teses e dissertações sobre formação de professores para Educação Básica em Institutos Federais

Abstract

Apresenta o estado de conhecimento sobre a formação de professores em Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia no Brasil. A recente transformação da institucionalidade destas instituições impôs como tarefa legal o oferecimento de cursos de licenciatura em ciências naturais e matemática para atender a educação básica. O artigo mostra como estão sendo realizadas as discussões em todas as regiões brasileiras em torno desta questão e, também, apresenta os resultados, os problemas e as perspectivas destes cursos de licenciatura levantados por pesquisadores que se debruçaram sobre a temática em suas teses e dissertações. O estudo visualiza uma série contradições que são apontados pelos pesquisadores na tarefa dos Institutos Federais em oferecer formação inicial para a educação básica.
