La diversidad en la escuela. Una perspectiva para su atención

Abstract

Se realizó un análisis teórico sobre diversidad, respeto a la diversidad y discriminación. Se profundizó en la importancia de los agentes de socialización y, en especial, de la escuela en la formación de valores que propicien la manifestación de comportamientos compatibles con las normas de conducta social y favorecedores de la convivencia entre los seres humanos. Se identificaron los grupos de niños que comúnmente son discriminados en las escuelas del medio donde se realiza la investigación. Además, se realiza la propuesta de fomentar el respeto a la diversidad en la escuela sobre la base del fortalecimiento en los educandos de la tolerancia y la empatía. Por último, y sobre la base los valores básicos mencionados con anterioridad, se proponen un conjunto de actividades encaminadas a propiciar el respeto a la diversidad en los centros educativos.
