Investigando en Educación: el método Delphi

Abstract

Los métodos de investigación son el pilar fundamental para la recolección de información y tratamiento de datos. La investigación en el ámbito de la didáctica y la educación va a enmarcarse en la investigación social, entendida ésta como el estudio de cuestiones relevantes desde un punto de vista socio-científico, donde los estudios basados en el uso de encuestas están muy extendidos. Estas investigaciones se basan en la recopilación de datos cualitativos y cuantitativos sobre diferentes variables que se analizan para detectar patrones de asociación entre ellas. Este estudio aborda una de las técnicas de mayor proyección actualmente, el método Delphi. Esta técnica se caracteriza por utilizar una batería de cuestionarios que se pasan sucesivamente a un grupo de encuestados, y cuya metodología se puede considerar a caballo entre los enfoques cualitativo y cuantitativo. Una revisión sistemática y exhaustiva de la literatura entorno a esta técnica permite profundizar en su filosofía y sus aplicaciones.
