Abstract

El currículo es un proyecto que explica las intenciones educativas y propone un plan de acción para lograrlo. El Rediseño Curricular de la carrera de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica “Luis Vargas Torres†de Esmeraldas, ha sido elaborado por la comisión de Carrera y el Equipo Técnico de Acompañamiento Académico como una respuesta a la Disposición Transitoria Tercera del Reglamento de Régimen Académico Nacional codificado vigente. El proceso para la planificación curricular del Proyecto de Carrera de Trabajo Social se sustenta en los lineamientos emitidos por el Consejo de Educación Superior (CES) e internos de la Institución. En el primer apartado, se detalla el contexto en el cual se realizó el rediseño: Problemas y necesidades sociales y la aplicación del Principio de Pertinencia. En el segundo apartado, se presenta la planificación: objeto de estudio, las tendencias del desarrollo local que se encuentran incluidas en los campos de estudio y de actuación de la profesión, relevando tanto el proceso como los resultados. El rediseño es pertinente a las necesidades de la Zona 1 y se justifica en razón de horizontes epistemológicos, núcleos estructurantes y tendencias de la profesión
