A plataforma code.org online: desenvolvendo do pensamento computacional e a matemática

Abstract

Diversos estudos (WING, 2006; BARR & STEPHENSON, 2011; NUNES, 2011; CSTA & ISTE, 2011) apontam que se faz cada vez mais necessário o desenvolvimento de habilidades da ciência da computação desde a educação básica, provendo assim competências do Pensamento computacional, uma habilidade fundamental para todos e que hoje em dia seu domínio é tão importante quanto saber ler, escrever e fazer cálculos, devendo assim, ser inserida à capacidade analítica do sujeito desde a tenra idade. Na literatura encontramos estudos (BARCELOS & SILVEIRA, 2012; BARCELOS, MUÑOZ, VILLARROE, & SILVEIRA, 2013; COSTA, SAMPAIO, & GUERRERO, 2016) que relacionam o desenvolvimento do Pensamento computacional com o desenvolvimento de competências Matemáticas. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho apresenta uma análise empírica sobre duas plataformas online com o intuito de investigar sua possível utilização por parte de professores não familiarizados com programação de computadores. Os resultados apontam seu potencial uso para o desenvolvimento do Pensamento computacional e a Matemática.
