Uso del Sistema de Gestión de la Información ALPA para la evaluación de la universidad de excelencia

Abstract

El presente documento tiene por objeto presentar un trabajo de investigación realizado desde hace algunos años atrás para desarrollar una propuesta integradora de gestión universitaria que apoyada en las tecnologías de la información permitió desarrollar un Sistema de Gestión de la Información que posibilita a las autoridades universitarias contar con información relevante, oportuna y actualizada para poder ejercer su toma de decisiones orientados a cumplir altos estándares de calidad en búsqueda de la excelencia. Desde la justificación teórica hasta el recuento de sucesos se describe el interés del estado a través de sus organismos reguladores de la educación superior hasta la fundamentación de la propuesta y presentación de un piloto realizado como antesala a la aplicación total del sistema en una universidad que forma parte de las universidades de excelencia en el Ecuador. También se describe el trabajo en equipo y la participación del Centro de Investigación Cimogsys como proponente y líder del cambio de paradigmas tradicionales de la administración y el comportamiento organizacional.
