¿SMS vs ortografía en jóvenes de edad escolar?

Abstract

La dialéctica de la comunicación adopta otras formas de concretarse en la sociedad. Este trabajo aborda nuevas manifestaciones en la lecto-escritura a partir de los mensajes de texto (SMS) por vía celular y su posible repercusión en el desarrollo de las habilidades ortográficas en jóvenes de 13 a 18 años en el colegio Simón Bolívar de Quito. Estudio descriptivo sustentado en la entrevista y la encuesta que demuestra el doble carácter del efecto SMS vs ortografía: favorece la comunicación pero disminuye el índice de lectura e incrementa la escritura con errores ortográficos.
