Abstract

En el trabajo se muestra la importancia de la enseñanza de los procesos de transformación de materiales poliméricos para la formación científica del Ingeniero Industrial. Se exponen los resultados de investigaciones realizadas en el grupo científico estudiantil adscrito al Grupo de Investigación de Materiales y Ambiente de la Universidad de Holguín, vinculadas a la industria de los plásticos. Especial atención se presta a la vinculación interdisciplinar de los procesos mecánicos, químicos, eléctricos, electrónicos y de automatización con la transformación de los polímeros desde una perspectiva energética y ambientalista, con énfasis en el desarrollo sostenible del país. Como resultados cabe destacar la motivación por la asignatura Procesos de Transformación de Materiales Poliméricos, reflejada en las encuestas realizadas a estudiantes de tercero, cuarto y quinto años de la carrera, con una alta aceptación por la importancia, novedad y utilidad de estos conocimientos para su formación científica y profesional.
