Abstract

Una de las prioridades que tienen las universidades en todo el mundo es la creación de Repositorios de Información Institucional como base para el ulterior desarrollo científico tecnológico que se aspira mediante la Ruta Verde de Acceso Abierto a la información científica. Sin embargo, aún existen algunas dificultades para la implementación de Repositorios Institucionales, una de ellas es la carencia de Políticas de Información que conduzcan este proceso. A partir de esta apremiante necesidad la presente investigación propone la elaboración de un documento de política informacional que defina normativas para la organización de la información en un Repositorio Institucional, tomando como caso de estudio la Universidad de Pinar del Río. Se tomaron aspectos teóricos y elementos contextuales para conformar el Documento de Política Informacional para el Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Pinar del Río.
