Abstract

El trabajo "La Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad (CTS) en la Carrera de Estudios Socioculturales," de la Universidad de Cienfuegos "Carlos Rafael Rodríguez", Sede Universitaria Municipal (SUM) Cruces. Cuba. Tiene como objetivo contribuir mediante una estrategia de enseñanza – aprendizaje a entrenar a los estudiantes para que decidan de forma consciente las acciones que realizarán, enseñarles a regularlas y a evaluar sus actuaciones. Se lleva al aula los elementos científicos y tecnológicos en la asignatura Cultura Latinoamericana y Caribeña I. En ella se propone profundizar contenidos, promoviendo debates y trabajos independientes, donde se manifiesta las relaciones entre Cultura y CTS. El enfoque CTS en los sistemas educativos encuentra también dificultades. Para enfrentar esas adversidades y promover su incorporación se hace necesario una propuesta para propiciar cambios normativos en la creación o activación de espacios curriculares, la investigación y los estudios de casos propios que hagan posible una educación CTS con contenidos endógenos y contextualizados para una adecuada formación de los profesores sensibilizados en este nuevo enfoque que los capacita didácticamente, y así preparar a los estudiantes como futuros investigadores, capaces de enfrentar los nuevos retos de la ciencia y la técnica.
