Consideraciones sobre la implementación de tecnología educativa en América Latina

Abstract

Los países de América Latina han decidido implementar políticas para establecer cambios en los modelos educativos que lleven a conseguir una educación adecuada a las necesidades e intereses de los estudiantes. Esta sociedad, llamada Sociedad de la Información, requiere la adquisición permanente de competencias diversas para que los individuos puedan desempeñarse y adaptarse a situaciones laborales cambiantes. Un elemento transversal en todas las áreas de la actividad humana es el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación, por lo que es indispensable integrar curricularmente estas tecnologías en los espacios educativos y propiciar que las nuevas formas de comunicación y trabajo logren generar cambios en las teorías de la enseñanza aprendizaje, para beneficio de los estudiantes. La dotación de equipos, su implementación, capacitación y uso representan desafíos que la sociedad en su conjunto debe debatir y llegar a encontrar soluciones particulares que favorezcan la inclusión de las TIC en la educación.
