La Naturaleza De Las Competencias En El Espacio Europeo De Educación Superior

Abstract

El Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) ha transformado los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje de la Universidad en toda Europa. Ahora los estudiantes universitarios deben aprender de manera autónoma competencias útiles para su profesión y para el desarrollo de su proyecto vital, lo cual supone un genuino cambio del rol que deben asumir los profesores y los propios alumnos. En el marco del EEES las competencias genéricas y específicas constituyen un conjunto integrado, abierto y dinámico de contenidos vinculados al saber, al saber hacer y al saber ser y estar, que se ponen de manifiesto con éxito en diferentes contextos. Las competencias están íntimamente vinculadas a la personalidad del estudiante y a su desarrollo como persona, lejos de confundirse con simples contenidos teóricos o con habilidades y capacidades. El presente artículo describe el concepto, la naturaleza y la importancia de las competencias en el EEES, con el objetivo de constituir un apoyo en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que los profesores y los estudiantes universitarios deben adoptar de manera cooperativa.
