Abstract

En Cuba la educación está en función del estado y es gratuita y se fundamenta en los avances de la ciencia y la técnica, el ideario martiano, la tradición pedagógica progresista cubana y universal. Se basa, además, en las conclusiones y aporte de la ciencia y en relación más estrecha del estudio con la vida, el trabajo y la producción. La ley precisa la integración y estructura del sistema nacional de educación, así como el alcance de la obligatoriedad de estudiar. Promueve la formación patriótica y la formación comunista de los niños, jóvenes y adultos para la vida social. Se combina la Educación General y los especializados de carácter científico, técnico, artístico; la investigación como la actividad creadora es libre, priorizada, dirigida a resolver los problemas que atentan contra el interés de la sociedad y el beneficio del pueblo.
