Confluencias: un verde por la vida

Abstract

La estrecha relación hombre-naturaleza explica la fuerza del género paisajista, que con mayor o menor preponderancia, se hace notar en la historia de las artes plásticas. En Cuba el tema del medio ambiente se ha tratado desde los inicios de las artes plásticas, principalmente a través de la representación de la temática del paisaje. Ya sean reales o idealizados, el artista trasmite su sentir a favor de la naturaleza. En este intento raigal del artista cubano han sido válidas todas las soluciones empleadas. La presencia del paisaje en el arte contemporáneo resulta contradictoria a medida que se trata de otro concepto de paisaje y otro modo de enfrentarlo artísticamente.
