Abstract

The paper proposes an approximation to determinant place occupied by prisons at the end of the civil war and the dictatorship consolidation in the 40s. There are analyzed the principal contributions of the traditionalist thought in the configuration of the system of redemption of penalties by the work, and in the definition of so called "work of spiritual pacification."
