Egyptian activist and author Farag Foda was assassinated fifteen years ago as a consequence of his writings, in which he criticized the Islamists, questioned the official version of Muslim history and advocated secularism. The present article offers an introduction to Foda's thought, and includes the Spanish translation of several articles representative of his work
