Abstract

1. La primera revolución mundial. Tratar de captar los fenómenos y problemas esenciales de nuestro polifacético y complejo mundo es una empresa nada fácil. Además, proponer estrategias para resolverlos es ya una tarea admirable. Precisamente esta es la aportación de Alexander King y Bertrand Schneider, miembros del Consejo del Club de Roma en su informe titulado La Primera Revolución Mundial. En las páginas que siguen intentaré destacar algunos temas dignos de reflexión, haciendo especial hincapié en los fenómenos económicos y sus resonancias sociales y culturales. Se está formando un nuevo tipo de sociedad mundial, tan diferente de la actual como ésta lo es de la sociedad agraria que le precedío...
