Abstract

Introducción. La relación entre productividad, aumento del producto y expansión de las exportaciones ha merecido una atención cada vez mayor en la bibliografía contemporánea de la política comercial y del desarrollo. Como la productividad es un determinante potencial de importancia de la ventaja comparativa en los plazos mediano y largo, se han postulado varias hipótesis para explicar posibles vínculos entre las diferencias sectoriales en el comportameinto de la productividad y el comercio, en particular en los países en desarrollo. No obstante la diversidad de explicaciones que se han postulado, hasta ahora no se ha llegado a consenso alguno acerca de cúal debe merecer más atención...
