Abstract

Introducción. Los programas de ajuste ecconómico implantados por la mayoría de los países en desarrollo desde el comienzo de la crisis de la deuda han acentuado vigorosamente la necesidad de expandir las exportaciones para lograr un saldo sostenible de la cuenta corriente compatible con una tasa de crecimiento económico adecuada. El crecimiento de las exportaciones deberá desempeñar un importante papel en los países en desarrollo, cuyas economías se encuentran restringidas por la escasez de divisas. El crecimiento de las exportaciones y su composición podría tener, sin embargo, efectos adversos en la distribución del ingreso...
