Abstract

Introducción. El alcance y la escala de los problemas ambientales han aumentado considerablemente durante los pasados tres decenios, desde los problemas de la polución local, regional, y luego internacional, hasta la deforestación, la erosión del suelo, la declinación de la láminas de agua y otras formas de agotamiento y degradación de los recursos naturales, así como el interés mundial por asuntos tales como los cambios climáticos y la capa de ozono. Esta expansión ha coincidido con un crecimiento sin precedente del alcance y la escala de las actividades y, en muchos países, con el mejoramiento del bienestar humano. Todas las actividades humanas ocurren en el contexto de ciertos tipos de relaciones entre la sociedad y el mundo biofísico(el resto de la naturaleza)...
