Abstract

In the third issue of this year's volume of the European Journal of Economics and Economic Policies: Intervention (EJEEP), we resume the journal's tradition of a Forum section that, from time to time, covers more than an interview with a distinguished colleague, who in this issue is Fernando Cardim de Carvalho from Brazil. We are always open for contributions leading to a productive debate between schools of thought and we explicitly encourage reciprocal interventions. Therefore, we are pleased to include a debate between Jens Reich and Fritz Helmedag on the principles of capitalist commodity production in this issue. Moreover, the Forum section includes a contribution by Wolfram Elsner on the state and future of economics, delivered as a keynote to the first World Keynes Conference in Izmir in June 2013. The issue also contains the usual article and book review sections. The Managing Editors
