Abstract

This paper discusses the future developments of both European and Spanish transport policies by specifically focusing on the role to be played by these policies in order to solve sustainable mobility and accessibility problems in the XXIth century. Our analysis has departed from a critical assessment of the major successes and failures of recent transport policies from the point of view of economics.
