Abstract

The discipline concerning the entrepreneurship and its function has become one of the most popular within the companies direction and management. At the same time and as a consequence of its multidisciplinary nature, there is no academic consensus either about its own definition, its theoretical content or its knowledge base. As a result of this, a research trend appears whose study purpose is exactly this discipline. The objective of the current research is to obtain a general view of the entrepreneurship research, identifying the most influential works and appraising the changes in its knowledge base. For that purpose, bibliometric indicators are used specifically the documents quotation analysis technique that researchers have used to elaborate their study.
