Abstract

The aim of this paper is to study the innovative strategies follow by multinational enterprises in Spain. It is based on microeconomic data, from a questionnaire addressed to the MNEs located in the Valle Medio del Ebro in 1994. The purpose is to get information about who carries out innovation, what kind of innovation prevails, how innovation is organised, the human capital adaptation.... The paper concludes that although the technology used by subsidiaries is highly developed, their innovation capability is less important, and just related with process innovation carried out by technical staff.
