Abstract

This article approaches the task of describing the degree of relative development of the social protection system in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. With this purpose in mind the authors define various indicators on the concept of intensity of the social protection which can be applied to the data on social protection expenditure in European Union member countries and in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (expressed homogeneously in SEEPROS terms).
